Vinca minor, periwinkle, groundcover comes in a plant green-leaved form. The plant has a creeping growth habit, rooting down at the nodes,a nd one plant will eventually cover 6 feet. Vinca minor is an excellent carpeting plant for shaded areas under trees, on banks or in large rockeries. Its growth can be rather vigorous, even invasive in warm climates. Overall, it's very easy to care for and will withstand poor conditions, although growth will be more attractive if it is given some care. The grow best in shade, in filtered sunlight or with morning sun and afternoon shade. However, the greater the amount of sunshine received, the more the plant will flower over a longer period. It tolerates any kind of soil, but prefers a well-drained soil enriched with organic matter. It flowers from May-September.
