Walnut, Juglans, trees are large and have a spreading crown shape. It's mature growth is around 60 to 100 feet high. Their best habitats are deep, moist soil with full sunlight that's warm. It's a hardy tree living around 200 years. We carry two different types of Walnut trees, Butternut and Black Walnut which are two very dependable and popular trees among gardeners for years. Be careful when planting the Black Walnut tree as its known dye-like substance can be toxic to other plants around it. Due to their massive growth they should planted about 55 feet from other walnut trees and away from power lines and buildings. They do best in zones 4-9.
