Tartarian, Acer tataricum, maple tree types are a multi-stemmed tree and typically has an upright spread. When it fully matures it will be between 15-20 feet tall. They have beautiful color in fall that's a yellow and red color. This type of maple tree has greenish-white flowers that turn red in summer/fall as they mature. Although tartarian are no as well known as the silver and red maples, they are an interesting tree in the landscape. They like organically rich, well-drained soils in full sun to partial shade. They grow best in full sun or bright, dappled sun. They really like cool summer climates.
