The Amur Maple is the acer ginnala plant species. It's known for it bright fall colors of yellows and bright reds and also its smaller size (20 ft wide by 20 ft tall on average). This smaller tree (or large deciduous shrub) has woody stems and deciduous leaves. Gardeners typically will plants these as a main garden feature or as a boulevard tree. They're nice to place under power lines and smaller garden and landscape spaces. It likes full sun or part shade (place in full sun if you want brighter fall colors). The Amur maples likes moist, well-drained soil and alkaline soils so it doesn't develop chlorosis.
