Forsythia viridissima 'McKCitrine' (PPAF)

CITRUS SWIZZLE (TM) DWARF FORSYTHIA

An excellent variegated form of Dwarf Forsythia selected by Dan Moore of McKay Nursery Company. The foliage emerges chartreuse with a lime green variegation in the center of the leaf, which then ages to a creamy white. A nice, brightly colored, dwarf selection suitable for today's landscapes. An excellent, slow growing plant for edging or the front of the border, great used in mass plantings. Requires full sun. In Wisconsin, this plant has not flowered yet. Prune the more vigorous upright new growth to maintain its compact habit. 18-24" tall by 2' spread.

American Sentry (TM) Linden

American Sentry Linden is an outstanding selection (trademarked in 2004) made at McKay Nursery by Howard Kulke. Selected for its narrow, upright pyramidal habit that opens up slightly with age. The branches come off the main stem at 45 degree angles, and are well balanced throughout the crown. The creamy white flowers in late June have a nice spicy fragrance. The bark is smooth and distinctively gray in color when young. The dark green leaves are somewhat whitish on the underside, and turn yellow in fall. It has been reported that Japanese beetle do not prefer to feed on this plant. 50-60' tall by 25-30' wide.
